JOB GOALS: Manage the Work Based Learning (WBL) program, support student success, and build partnerships with businesses to enhance work experiences. Oversee student placements, employer relationships, and continuous program improvement.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Recruit Business Partners: Identify and recruit employers, manage meetings, and expand the WBL program.
- Program Management: Ensure compliance with regulations, implement improvements, and network with other WBL programs.
- Student Support: Assess students’ skills and goals, match them with employers, and assist with interview prep and scheduling.
- Communication: Maintain regular communication with parents, stakeholders, and administrators. Keep student records and track employer feedback.
- Special Events & Recruitment: Organize job shadowing, apprenticeships, career fairs, mock interviews, and job fairs.
- Community Engagement: Coordinate Junior Achievement field trips, recruit volunteers, and manage logistics and costs.
- Career Coaching: Provide resume building, interview prep, job applications, and college support.
- Summer Work: Support students and employers with job placements during the summer.
- Indiana’s Work & Learn Program: Promote the state’s wage reimbursement program to businesses and assist with sign-ups.
- Additional Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of the WBL program, ensuring alignment with educational and career goals year-round.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Four-year college or university degree.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence, and effectively present information.
MATHEMATICAL SKILL:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

EVALUATION: An evaluation will be done on the employee’s performance throughout the school year, performed by the principal.
SALARY: $57,000 - $65,000
